Dr. Riley is the medical director of labor and delivery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School, so let’s face it, she knows what she’s talking about.
I loved the fact that this book was week by week. When I first got it, I read the whole thing through, but actually it was a lot more fun, and certainly better absorbed when I read each chapter week by week. I loved the idea that I knew what was going on inside that bump at every stage of the development. The information on the possible birth scenarios was helpful though I was glad that I also went to a prenatal class as this gave me more confidence than I think I would have got from reading the book alone.
Even post baby, the chapters were well thought out and relevant. Overall, an excellent choice for those looking to be informed in a light and engaging way.
